If you're looking for an "all-arounder" cat who can play with the best of them and also chill out, I'd actually suggest you look at moggie cats -- mutts. A lot of cat breeds are bred for extreme personalities (the Sphynx being extremely active and the Ragdoll being an extreme cuddler).

Apologies for this post being miles long! TL;DR: Two ragdoll kittens, confused cat-mommy, is there a simple answer to my question? What are the "best" brands for my little ones? Also thought I could make note, my parents also have a very senior cat (Boomer, 17+ years old) who likes sneaking from my girls' bowl.
