Hot Rods Ford 429/460-best intake manifold for high HP?
That is the Blue Thunder 4v dp intake...they are a dealer. Not a bad intake, but the Stealth is easier to obtain. I would not expect to see an incredible difference between the Stealth & the dual 4 bbl., unless the carburetors on the 2x4 are not tuned effectively.

Chevy Orange? Ford Blue????Where did it come from
No newsflash there... "blue flame" 6 cylinders date back to at least the early 50s... i was speaking about the V8's. No Chevy V8's (small or big block) were blue prior to the mid/late 70s.. not sure of the exact year they switched from orange to blue, but I know by 77 they were blue. The switch may have came in 76 though.

Chicago Guys: Blue Bandit Pics Wanted | The H.A.M.B.
My brother owned the Blue Bandit Gto for a short time in the early 70's. He sold it to a Pontiac collector who at the time was around Olney Illinois. He found the car again a year or two ago. It is in a building in Texas , but the guy wouldn't price it. He said Don Gay had tried to buy it back before he died.

Blue Dot History? | The H.A.M.B. - The Jalopy Journal
Blue lenses in the center of the red were standard equipment on 32-34 Packard V-12 models, as well as V-12 and V-16 Cadillacs from 31 thru 34, I think. It was a way to distinguish the car from the lesser models at night.

History Traditional hot rod paint colors - The Jalopy Journal
I like candy red over gold and midnight blue. But both were available and in use in the period of car that I like. I also like black real well but it is hardtop get a car black prepped and I am a lazy bastard. Anyway if you are shooting for a specific period of car your paint choices are like you parts, limited to the period.

Technical - Y BLOCK INTAKES | The H.A.M.B. - The Jalopy Journal
Blue Thunder won at the top end, modified -B 4 bbl manifold was next, then 3 deuces and the inboard manifold I think. Did the same with headers and manifolds on the same "mule". -B manifold was just as good as BT, trips have the look (and much more pricey of you find them).

Chevy Color Code for Dummies | The H.A.M.B. - The Jalopy Journal
